Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles (engine, mechanical, and electrical systems) to accurately diagnose issues.
- Overhaul petrol and diesel engines for full functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, and more to ensure vehicle longevity.
- Work on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
- Conduct test drives and diagnostic tests to determine repair needs.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning parts, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, and transmissions.
- Provide accurate estimates for repair costs, time, and effort.
- Maintain detailed records of vehicles, including model number, service history, and parts.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Technical qualification or certification in automobile maintenance.
- 5-8 years of experience as an auto mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow service and repair manuals.
