Job Responsibilities

As a Quality Control Inspector, your responsibilities will vary based on your specialized field (Plumbing, Piping, or Civil). Below are the general tasks you will perform in each of these positions:

Plumbing QC – RTR/HDPE/PVC

  • Inspection of Plumbing systems involving RTR, HDPE, and PVC pipes, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
  • Verification of pipe installation techniques, checking for leaks, defects, and conformity to project specifications.
  • Testing of materials and components to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Reporting findings and recommendations to project managers and ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.

Piping QC – Non-Metallic

  • Monitoring the installation and welding of non-metallic pipes for underground (UG) and above-ground (AG) applications.
  • Ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards for non-metallic piping systems.
  • Conducting tests on piping systems, such as pressure and leak tests, to confirm the integrity and performance of the materials.

Piping QC – Metallic

  • Supervising the installation and welding of metallic piping systems for both underground (UG) and above-ground (AG) applications.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings and project specifications to ensure all materials and processes comply with the relevant standards.
  • Inspecting welding procedures, conducting tests (such as radiographic and hydrostatic tests), and documenting results.

Civil QC – Infrastructure

  • Inspecting civil construction works such as foundations, roads, and other infrastructure components.
  • Conducting material testing (e.g., soil, concrete, asphalt) to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Verifying the compliance of civil work with the approved designs and safety standards.

Civil QC – Batch Plant

  • Overseeing the operations at the batch plant to ensure that all materials are mixed and tested according to quality standards.
  • Managing inspections of plant operations, checking for any non-conformance issues and recommending corrective measures.

For all roles, you will be responsible for maintaining detailed records, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating closely with project teams to resolve any quality-related issues that arise.


Qualifications

To be eligible for these positions, applicants should meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in Quality Control within the plumbing, piping, or civil sectors.
  • Aramco Approval: Preference will be given to candidates with Aramco-approved certifications for the relevant QC roles.
  • Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CSWIP, AWS, NACE, or similar certifications are preferred for the respective roles.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality control principles, material standards, safety regulations, and testing methods.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages may be a plus.
