Our company is looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to support our project operations in Doha. This role involves providing technical and engineering analysis, ensuring that projects are planned, executed, and delivered efficiently. You will work closely with the Project Manager to help monitor progress, manage resources, and solve technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Lead planning and scheduling activities for the project, following the Project Manager’s guidance.
• Develop and maintain the project’s master schedule; review and approve the baseline schedule, considering labor, equipment, and material needs.
• Analyze market and protocol design issues from a planning perspective, providing input and insights.
• Conduct planning studies and sensitivity analyses to assess the need for improvements and evaluate project proposals.
• Review and advise on Extension of Time (EoT) claims submitted by the contractor.
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and analysts, offering training when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and carry out necessary studies.
• Assist in the development of tools, processes, and procedures to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Support the Project Manager in tracking contractor delays and suggesting corrective actions.
• Manage and create various project reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Use visual aids like bar charts and network diagrams to explain the project timeline.
• Oversee the entire project’s planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring smooth coordination.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Department requirements and audits.
• Assist in Business Development and Tender Management as required.

Qualifications:

• 5-6 years of experience in planning engineering, with a strong background in project management.
• Proficiency in project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera).
• Solid understanding of project design, scheduling, and resource management.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and analysts.
