Our company is seeking a skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide engineering analysis and technical support for project planning and operations. You will implement system modeling, develop tools and procedures for monitoring and controlling systems, conduct studies, analyze operating results, and offer solutions to existing and future system challenges.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform planning and scheduling activities for the project, as guided by the Project Manager.
- Prepare the master project program and review, comment on, and approve the baseline schedule submitted by contractors, ensuring resource needs (labor, equipment, material) are accurately identified for each time period.
- Provide input and analysis on design issues from a planning perspective.
- Structure planning studies and sensitivity analyses to evaluate proposed projects, including technical and financial assessments.
- Review and endorse Extension of Time (EoT) claims submitted by contractors to the client.
- Mentor and advise less experienced engineers/analysts as needed.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather input, address comments, and perform necessary studies.
- Assist in developing tools, processes, and procedures that improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Provide support to the Project Manager in reporting contractor delays and suggesting mitigation strategies.
- Manage various project reports such as Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, Delay Analysis, and EoT Tracker reports.
- Create visual aids (bar charts, network diagrams) to clearly explain the project schedule.
- Monitor project progress at various stages and ensure milestones are met.
- Select the most appropriate techniques and sequences of activities to complete the project scope.
- Coordinate design stages and supervise the construction process effectively.
- Cooperate with the Quality Department to meet audit requirements.
- Assist in Business Development and Tender Management when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5-6 years of experience in project planning and engineering roles.
- Strong experience with schedule development, planning tools, and delay analysis.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in engineering.
