We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the workplace adheres to occupational health and safety (OHS) standards. This full-time role is perfect for candidates with 5-6 years of experience in health and safety management who can actively promote and maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at the workplace.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Advise management and employees on safety practices and preventive measures.
- Organize and conduct safety training and awareness programs for staff.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain safety records and reports for audits and compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer.
- Strong knowledge of OHS regulations and standards.
- Ability to assess risks and create safety programs.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (preferred).
- Previous experience in a construction or industrial environment is an advantage.
