Job Responsibilities

  • Review prescriptions for proper dosage and accuracy.
  • Prepare and dispense prescribed pharmaceutical products, ensuring correct dosage and form.
  • Advise customers and healthcare professionals on medication use, including dosage, side effects, and interactions.
  • Maintain accurate medication profiles and manage controlled drugs.
  • Ensure proper storage, packaging, and distribution of pharmaceuticals, including vaccines.
  • Manage pharmacy stock and order supplies.
  • Offer guidance on non-prescription medications and renew prescriptions when appropriate.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other pharmacy staff, including assistants and technicians.

Employment Requirements

  • Education: University degree in Pharmacy and supervised practical training.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience as a licensed pharmacist.
  • Language Proficiency: Minimum CLB 5 in English to ensure effective communication.
  • Age: Applicants must be under 38 years old to qualify for immigration programs.
