Job Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for proper dosage and accuracy.
- Prepare and dispense prescribed pharmaceutical products, ensuring correct dosage and form.
- Advise customers and healthcare professionals on medication use, including dosage, side effects, and interactions.
- Maintain accurate medication profiles and manage controlled drugs.
- Ensure proper storage, packaging, and distribution of pharmaceuticals, including vaccines.
- Manage pharmacy stock and order supplies.
- Offer guidance on non-prescription medications and renew prescriptions when appropriate.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of other pharmacy staff, including assistants and technicians.
Employment Requirements
- Education: University degree in Pharmacy and supervised practical training.
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience as a licensed pharmacist.
- Language Proficiency: Minimum CLB 5 in English to ensure effective communication.
- Age: Applicants must be under 38 years old to qualify for immigration programs.
