We are seeking a Lighting Sales Advisor to join our team and help customers find the perfect lighting solutions. This role involves promoting and selling lighting products, providing expert advice on lighting efficiency, and managing customer relationships to achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate should be passionate about lighting design and have experience in retail sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Consultation and Sales:
- Greet customers and understand their lighting needs for various spaces, including homes, offices, and commercial areas.
- Recommend suitable lighting products (fixtures, bulbs, lighting controls) based on customer preferences.
- Advise on the latest trends in lighting design, energy-efficient options, and smart lighting solutions.
- Upsell complementary products to enhance the customer’s lighting experience.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date with lighting product features, specifications, and industry trends.
- Maintain knowledge of the full range of products and manage inventory to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Sales Performance:
- Meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to team goals.
- Track sales progress and forecast future demand.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build long-term relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and high satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide after-sales service.
- Follow up with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals.
- Order Processing and Coordination:
- Process customer orders accurately, providing quotes, pricing, and handling payment.
- Prepare and maintain sales documentation, including reports and customer records.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field is a plus.
- Certifications in lighting design or energy-efficient systems are an advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience, ideally in lighting, electrical, or home improvement industries.
- Experience with design software or lighting design tools (e.g., Dialux, Relux) is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and energy-efficient lighting technologies.
- Proficiency in POS systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain complex lighting concepts clearly.
- Goal-oriented, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
