Responsibilities:
As an Accountant at our real estate company, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining Accurate Financial Records:
- You will be responsible for bookkeeping, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- You will manage journal entries, ledgers, and the trial balance, ensuring they align with the company’s financial statements.
- Recording Financial Transactions:
- Prepare and record entries related to assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure that financial transactions are classified and recorded in the correct accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Monthly, you will prepare bank reconciliation statements, ensuring that the company’s records match with bank transactions.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between the company’s bank accounts and financial statements.
- Managing Petty Cash:
- You will be responsible for maintaining and recording petty cash expenses, ensuring that they are documented and reconciled properly.
- Audit Assistance:
- Assist in the preparation for annual audits, providing necessary documentation and records to auditors as required.
- Reporting and Compliance:
