We are currently hiring for two key positions: a Main Chef and an Assistant Chef. Responsibilities
- Main Chef Responsibilities
- Menu Creation: Develop and design the restaurant’s menu, ensuring variety, quality, and consistency in all dishes.
- Cooking and Preparation: Oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes to the highest standard, ensuring all food meets the restaurant’s quality and presentation standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead the kitchen team, managing daily operations, and ensuring smooth service.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and ensure all ingredients are fresh and readily available.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the kitchen adheres to all health and safety standards, including proper hygiene and food safety procedures.
- Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor junior staff, ensuring they understand and follow kitchen protocols.
- Assistant Chef Responsibilities
- Support in Cooking: Assist the main chef in preparing and cooking dishes according to the menu specifications.
- Food Preparation: Help with chopping, slicing, and other food preparation tasks to ensure the kitchen runs efficiently.
- Cleaning and Organization: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment is clean and food storage areas are organized.
- Stock Assistance: Assist in inventory management by tracking ingredient usage and helping with stock replenishment.
- Kitchen Assistance: Provide additional help as needed during peak hours to ensure food is prepared on time.
Qualifications
- Main Chef
- Experience: Proven experience as a chef in a reputable restaurant, with a strong portfolio showcasing your culinary skills and creativity.
- Education: Culinary diploma or equivalent formal education is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of kitchen staff effectively.
- Creativity: A passion for creating new dishes and experimenting with different cuisines.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and manage time during busy service hours.
- Language: Good communication skills in English. Arabic is an advantage but not essential.
- Assistant Chef
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
- Skills: Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen equipment, and safety procedures.
- Passion for Cooking: A keen interest in learning and developing culinary skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Language: Basic knowledge of English is essential; Arabic is a plus.
