Introduction to the Job

As an Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of housekeeping staff, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met, and managing all housekeeping-related activities in the properties under management. This is a full-time position located in Manama, Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hotel housekeeping or large-scale property management settings, with a strong understanding of cleaning equipment, staff management, and customer service.


Responsibilities

  1. Housekeeping Staff Management:
  • Train and oversee a team of housekeepers, ensuring all staff are equipped with the skills to perform cleaning tasks efficiently.
  • Brief staff daily on tasks, ensuring they are clear about their duties and any special instructions.
  • Motivate and support the team, addressing any issues or conflicts that arise to maintain a positive working environment.
  1. Quality Control & Cleanliness Oversight:
  • Monitor the cleanliness of apartments, common areas, staircases, and lounges, ensuring all areas meet the company’s high cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess the quality of cleaning and provide feedback for improvement.
  1. Scheduling & Shift Management:
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure shifts are covered appropriately.
  • Arrange replacements for staff in cases of absence, ensuring no gaps in housekeeping operations.
  1. Inventory and Stock Management:
  • Keep track of cleaning product inventories and ensure stocks are replenished when necessary.
  • Monitor usage to ensure products are used efficiently and safely.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Respond to customer complaints and special requests related to cleanliness, ensuring quick and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Address guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and urgency.
  1. Safety & Sanitation Compliance:
  • Ensure all cleaning operations comply with the company’s safety and sanitation standards.
  • Educate staff on proper safety procedures when using cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  1. Special Cleaning Projects:
  • Participate in larger cleaning projects, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Lead by example and actively participate in challenging or intensive cleaning assignments.
