Key Responsibilities

As the Depot Workshop Supervisor, you will take on the following responsibilities:

• Coordination with Project Engineers: Collaborate with engineers and managers across various projects to resolve plant-related issues at the job site. This ensures that any equipment or vehicle problems are handled promptly, preventing delays to work progress.
• Arranging Equipment and Vehicles: Ensure that requested plant and vehicle equipment are pre-approved by management and delivered to project sites as needed. This includes coordinating the availability and scheduling of necessary equipment for ongoing projects.
• Maintenance Scheduling: Organize and schedule the periodic maintenance of equipment and vehicles, making sure it is done on time and does not disrupt work progress. This requires planning and coordination to keep everything running smoothly.
• Breakdown Management: Handle roadside breakdowns, ensuring you are present both during and after working hours to address issues quickly. You will manage emergencies, ensuring that equipment downtime is minimized and repairs are made swiftly.
• Site Operations Coordination: Work closely with site personnel to ensure that the daily operations are streamlined. This may involve troubleshooting or resolving operational challenges on-site.
• Managing Work Schedules: Oversee and manage the work schedules for mechanics and technicians, including organizing both day and night shifts. This includes coordinating team schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Daily Vehicle and Equipment Inspections: Perform regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working order. Your role will be to identify any issues before they become larger problems.
• Ensuring Safe Operation: Ensure that all vehicles and equipment are operating in a safe and efficient manner. You will be responsible for making sure everything meets safety standards and regulations.
• Tracking Inventory and Spare Parts: Keep track of spare parts inventory, ensuring necessary items are available within Bahrain and sourced from international suppliers as needed. You will also manage the logistics for ordering and replacing parts.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all plant and equipment-related issues and work progress. Report any significant problems to management and make recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working with plant, vehicle fleets, and equipment in a supervisory role. You should have a strong understanding of equipment operations, repairs, and maintenance processes.
• Technical Knowledge: You should have a solid technical background in plant and vehicle operations, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues both on-site and off-site.
• Team Management: Experience in managing teams of mechanics, technicians, and operators is essential. You will need to be an effective leader who can manage work schedules and ensure all tasks are completed on time.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are necessary to address plant and vehicle issues quickly and effectively.
