Job Overview

As the Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality Lebanese dishes quickly and efficiently. You will play a key role in menu development, staff training, and maintaining food safety standards while managing costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development:
    • Create and update a menu featuring authentic Lebanese dishes that prioritize quick service.
    • Develop new recipes that honor traditional flavors while maintaining modern appeal.
    • Ensure consistent portion sizes and attractive presentation for all dishes.
  • Kitchen Management:
    • Direct kitchen operations to deliver food that meets our quality standards promptly.
    • Train and supervise kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
    • Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Inventory and Cost Control:
    • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock management to minimize waste.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients while controlling costs.
    • Track expenses and labor to maximize profitability.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Uphold high hygiene standards and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
    • Maintain a clean kitchen environment and ensure staff follow sanitation procedures.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate the kitchen team, manage scheduling, and resolve conflicts.
    • Create a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and adherence to procedures.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
    • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and served promptly.
    • Address customer feedback regarding food quality and presentation, implementing necessary improvements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef, preferably in Lebanese or Middle Eastern cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of Lebanese culinary techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen without sacrificing quality.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in inventory management and cost control.
  • Food safety and sanitation certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
